IGT's 2024 Success and 2025 Vision: Innovations, Expansions and Market-Driven Strategies in the Gaming Sector

Performance evaluation in the games of chance industry for 2024

For IGT, 2024 was marked with continued growth throughout Latin America via installments of our compelling multi-level progressive titles (“MLP”) like Mystery of the Lamp, Egyptian Link, and Magic Treasures. Building on success in other regions, we deployed the high-performing entertainment of the Prosperity Link MLP game on the PeakCurve49 cabinet in Argentina and Puerto Rico,” said David Flinn.

 “Further demonstrating our agility in designing innovative jackpot solutions, we recently launched Condor Link, our first wide-area progressive compatible game in Colombia”, he added.

With regard to the online space, he pointed: “Market opportunities have opened in countries like Peru, and we have expanded IGT’s offering with content in both land-based and online gaming environments.”

IGT Product evolution and market demands

When asked about the changing market demands last year, he answered the following: IGT continues to expand its portfolio with new, research-backed products that align with the unique player preferences in each region. We have invested significantly in delivering innovative MLP themes, like the award-winning Tiger and Dragon game, which is quickly establishing a global presence and incorporates player-preferred features like collection pots and various bonus opportunities. Complementing our lineup of games is our leading hardware, with cabinets such as the PeakSlant49 and PeakCurve 49 from our proven “Peak” family of cabinets featuring state-of-the-art sound and graphics. Furthermore, we continued to deploy our operator-configurable USwitch multigame packs featuring an intuitive game selector that allows players to enjoy their favorite games on one machine.”

IGT main goals for 2025

Flynn said that the firm will focus on progressing IGT’s market-attuned product roadmap and bringing dynamic content and solutions to operators and their players. “In addition to key MLP titles like Tiger and Dragon and Magic Treasures, we will extend the Wheel of Fortune brand into new verticals, and offer compelling new core content options and advanced systems solutions to optimize gaming floors. In addition, Apollo’s acquisition of IGT’s gaming and digital business segments is expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2025.”

IGT innovations for 2025

Then, Flynn highlighted that IGT’s portfolio is in constant evolution  bring in new, diversified gaming solutions to elevate the entertainment on customers’ casino floors.

“We plan to broaden the footprint of Tiger and Dragon globally and introduce new games for leading titles like Prosperity Link and Magic Treasures. We will also bring the legendary Wheel of Fortune brand into the video poker and electronic table game categories. In addition, we will grow our multi-game pack library with IGT UNITE, which conveniently combines MLP and core games on one machine. Adding to the depth of our portfolio, we recently debuted ADVANTAGE X, the latest evolution of our award-winning ADVANTAGE casino management system, featuring an all-new system design with enhanced casino floor data capabilities.”

Trends in player profile and new technologies

“I believe we’ll continue to hear a lot about cloud-based technologies such as the IGT Evolve solution in 2025. Much like our successful IGT Floor Manager, IGT Evolve is a unique solution that gives operators access to a wide library of IGT games and enables them to analyze game performance metrics, adjust content, and modify game settings remotely and near-instantly. Our customers find incredible value in this solution as it positions them to accommodate their guests’ play styles, increase personalization, and ultimately optimize their gaming floors,” Flynn assured.

Strategies to stay competitive globally

To meet the diverse needs of operators and accommodate player preferences in different regions, IGT has in-market product and commercial teams who work closely with customers and understand the local market.

As a part of the development process for a game, Flynn commented that IGT invests in dedicated research via player focus groups to assess the reception of a game and fine-tune the features based on this feedback.

He highlighted that IGT utilizes an in-depth test bank program, where games are placed in properties, and player feedback is evaluated to determine if a game needs adjustments or is ready to be released.

Events IGT will attend in 2025

IGT plans to exhibit at key industry events, including ICE Barcelona, GAT Cartagena and Bogota, Peru Gaming Show, and G2E Las Vegas. “In addition, we’ll host a variety of regional events for our customers,” Flynn commented.

IGT responsible gaming initiatives

Flynn said that IGT operates with the highest levels of integrity in promoting responsible gaming and integrating it into the firm’s products and policies. “The company has earned responsible gaming certifications from globally recognized programs, and we work with various internal and external stakeholders to expand awareness and encourage best practices,” he concluded.
